Jim Coletta judges Sunshine State Steak Cook-Off at Ave Maria

Jim Coletta knows a lot about many subjects, that's why he's a great Collier County Commissioner. 

But right up there among his favorite topics - as it is with many of us - is what goes into to cooking a great steak! That's why he was one of the judges January 28 when the Town of Ave Maria and the Donahue Academy of Ave Maria hosts the Second Annual Sunshine State Steak Cook-Off and Family Fun Fest. 

Yes, we know. It's rough duty but somebody has to do it. Rest assured, Coletta took seriously his judging responsibilities and lent his discriminating palate to the difficult task of selecting the very best steak Florida has to offer. 

One of the featured steak chefs and the local favorite was Naples contractor and griller extraordinaire, Bart Zino, who has delighted thousands over the years with the expertly prepared steaks featured at the annual Farm-City Barbeque in Collier County. 

Jim's task was a meaty one but something into which you could really sink his teeth!
